Krylov, Porfiry (1902 - 1990)

Porfiry Krylov with Mikhail and Nikolai Sokolov formed the collective trio Kukryniksy. From around 1924 they produced political cartoons for newspapers and (satirical) magazines such as Krokodil. They were especially prominent during the Great Patriotic War producing prints and caustic drawings which were often dropped as postcards behind German lines.
