Reynolds, Frank (1876 - 1953)

Frank Reynolds contributed to a range of magazines including Judy, Pick-Me-Up, the Illustrated London News and Punch. Art editor of Punch from 1920 to 1930, Reynolds most famous contribution to the magazine was perhaps his First World War cartoon, ‘Study of a Prussian Household Having its Morning Hate’. His work was admired by Fougasse and Bradshaw credited him with being ‘the first illustrator to realize the character in backs’. Reynolds most famous book illustrations were a series of Dickensian characters, reproduced on postcards by A.V.N. Jones & Co.
